The highly anticipated rematch between two former WSU stars, Jed Collins, and Antonio Chavers, lived up to its billing, and was a nail bitter all the way to the end. Up at Half, Team Collins was imposing their will on Team Chavers behind their hustle, and smothering play. Hitting every one of their open shots, Team Collins seemed as though they were just too much to handle for their opponent. In the second half, that changed. Team Chavers began to scratch their way back into the contest, and Team Collins finally slowed offensively. Behind Antonio’s 53, and Josh Graham’s 37 points, Team Chavers was able to steal the grudge match, and move themselves into second place with two weeks left in the season. As team jockey for seeding’s, this game will play a vital role in determining the first round matchups.
