Like two cars in a derby, Team Sorensen and Team Ashe careened into each other with no regard for human life. Within in the just minutes of the tip, both teams racked up numerous fouls, setting the tone for what would be a grueling contest. Such physical play on the defensive end made creating a shot nearly impossible. In the lowest scoring first half we’ve witnessed all year, the leader at the break, Team Sorensen, only managed a measly 28 points, while Team Ashe  hung around with just 20. Deciding to switch their defensive assignments at half time, Team Ashe came out of the break determined to get things going offensively. The switch is exactly what they needed to start creating space on the floor, and knock down their shots. As Victor Sviridyuk began to direct and orchestrate his team into position, he finally found a way to get himself and his team rolling. Outscoring Team Sorensen 60-46 in the second half, Team Ashe survives by the skin of their teeth, 80-74.
