Winter Men’s League Championship Report
The showdown between teams Cary & Bacon in the championship seemed almost inevitable this season. Racking up win after win, each squad made it to the final game with ease. Riding a wave of confidence, both squads no doubt, expected victory. Three quarters through the game, that looked like a reality for Team Bacon. Leading by as many as 18 points, the game seemed over, but for the remaining time. Unexpectedly Team Cary stole that time. Emotionally lead by Jed Collins they came screaming back to take the lead. Ice cold through the first half, Nick Cary’s 3-point shot started to drop one after the other. By moving the ball around like they had done all season, Team Cary managed to take the game, and get every player on the court into double figures. Team Cary takes the Winter Men’s League Championship 113 – 106.
