In every league, there is one team, that no matter the circumstances, always finds a way to place themselves in position to win the game. Whether its surviving substantial runs from their opponents, or making the miraculous comeback, this team always finds a way to win. In the Bellevue Club Men’s League, that is Team Bacon. Every season their roster is assembled differently, but every season, no matter who is on that roster, they are the one team that you can absolutely not sleep on. If you do, you’ll blink, and they’ll have won. Captained by Tony Bacon, they have literally mastered the art of stealing games from their opponents. Against Team Locke, their rare art form was on display once again. Only this time, the result of their late game heroics played in their opponents favor. Nearly forcing double overtime, Team Bacon had Team Locke right where they wanted them. One shot would win the game and give Team Bacon the victory, but an untimely turnover destroyed their masterpiece. Team Locke, led by Will Locke’s 47 points, took home the win in a 108-104 overtime victory against Team Bacon.
